WHY GOD WHY!??????????????
Boogeyman writers Juliet Snowden and Stiles White are rolling out more children’s nightmares for MGM’s planned remake of Poltergeist, the 1982 horror film that made “They’re here” one of the creepiest lines in any horror film.

The original Poltergeist, directed by Tobe Hooper from a script co-written by Steven Spielberg, skirted an R rating despite its children-in-constant-peril, toy clown-strangling, face-peeling, skeleton-swimming medley of horrors. The film grossed $122 million worldwide and earned Oscar nominations for its visual effects, sound effects and score.
Snowden and White co-wrote the 2005 release Boogeyman and had a hand in the attempted but never-realized remake of The Birds. They’ve also co-written Knowing, directed by Alex Proyas and starring Nicolas Cage and scheduled for release in March. Sounds like trouble already.
Wanna know what I think? NO MORE FUCKING REMAKES!
