Guess Kelly’s baby is gonna stay without a daddy: Luke Perry has confirmed that he will not be appearing on the CW’s 90210, despite the reveal in Tuesday’s episode that Dylan McKay is the father of Kelly Taylor’s son Sammy.
During a conference call today about his upcoming guest stint on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, where he will play a foster parent suspected of child abuse, he was asked about the possibility of appearing on the new series.
Reporter: Now, the most recent 90210 episode had a reference to Dylan, does that mean that we’ll see you there soon?
L.P.: They own the name and likeness.
Reporter: That’s a yes or no?
L.P.: That would be a no.
According to sources at the CW network, executive producers have approached both Luke Perry and Jason Priestley repeatedly over the past several months. Both have declined to reprise their roles as Dylan McKay and Brandon Walsh, respectively.
