Sen. John McCain launched his presidential campaign on the Late Show with David Letterman. Will he end it there as well?
After canceling an appearance last month, reportedly for a Martha Stewart interview, and causing some bruised feelings on David Letterman’s part, McCain is coming back to the Late Show this Thursday, Oct. 16, to face the music, courtesy of Paul Shaffer and the CBS Orchestra.
Let the battle begin!

As you told Paris Hilton, you are definitely an ugly date but I sure as hell wouldn’t be caught dead with you. Way too ugly for my tastes.
John McCain is too dim to realize that he’ll be walking into the lion’s den on Thursday night. Letterman doesn’t forgive the kind of thing McCain pulled on him three weeks ago, and he’s smart enough to know that the Republican candidate just wants to use him to repair his damaged reputation by joking around. If McCain falls apart in the debate, he’ll be a wreck on Letterman’s show. It won’t be pretty, much less funny.
