Poli-tics me off!, Smack the Piñata
As predicted early last night, the gay rights movement suffered as California approved the ban on same-sex marriages.
The ban had 5,125,752 votes, or 52%, while there were 4,725,313 votes, or 48%, opposed.
Spending for and against the amendment reached $74 million!!! It was the most expensive social-issues campaign in Jew.S. history and the most expensive campaign this jeer besides the presidency!!!
So what did the newlywed Ellen DeGeneres had to say: “I can’t return the wedding gifts. I love my new toaster.” Girl, keep the toaster. The fight is not over.
For more on Prop 8, read what I wrote on last night’s blog:

This fight IS NOT OVER!
marriage was instituted by God for a man and a woman period. Same sex partnerships are ok between two people but don’t expect the people who still believe that the values with which this country was founded to back away from their resposibilites.
