There’s been a lot of talk today regarding Gale Harold‘s health, as well as his status on Desperate Housewives. A few sources close to the show doubt Gale’s capability to return to the hit series, but now we’ve discovered there’s at least a glimmer of hope:
Apparently, Gale has looped some scenes recently. He was actually able to physically get himself to the set, even though it wasn’t easy:
“He’s still in a tremendous amount of pain,” revealed an insider who’s hung with the actor recently. “He doesn’t even remember a lot of what happened to him, and his shoulder’s really hurting him right now, but I think he will be back next season, in some form.” Next season? What about this season?
As we stated in an earlier blog, Desperate sources unofficially made it clear they’ll be happy to have Gale back in any form.
But how can they write him out for 14 more episodes then have him magically appear next season? I don’t like the sound of this, it seems we’re only going to get Harold’s voice. What’s he gonna do? Break up with Susan in a phone call? Not cool.
We have no reason to believe “unnamed” sources or a reporter who didnt bother to check out his facts and then had to revise his story.
We have every reason to believe the only one authorized to speak for Gale that he’s fine. .
It wasnt an unnamed source by the way who said that they’d be happy to have Gale back and are rewriting the scripts to accomodate him , it was Marc Cherry himself.
they could easily have killed Jackson off and they didnt. Sounds like a positive step to me.
Don’t even think of killing Jackson off the series. Do you know how long his true fans have waited to see Gale on a regular weekly series. Of course QAF was my favorite. I hate to typecast, but you could feel the love and emotion between Brian and Justin. You can’t fake that! That just proves what an awesome actor he is. They(ABC) have to realize what he did for that shows ratings. Get well soon!!!! We miss you too much.
Gale is sooooooo hot and he is the reason why a lot of us girls here watch DH in the new season- so GET HIM BACK!!!! Wish him a full speedey recovery. Love

Look, Gale Harold is a very good actor and I love having him back on regular T.V. He was GREAT as Brian Kinney in QAF, but the character of Jackson is sooooo vanilla, please SPICE UP THE CHARACTER so Gale can sink his teeth into a new character. Let him show his acting chops like he did in QAF. Let us know something about his character’s backstory, and please bring him BACK when his health permits. He is missed.
Have been waiting for Gale’s return to DHW for months now! PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, bring him back! DHW needs another hot man on Wisteria Lane!
I really hope Marc Cherry is smart enough to bring back Gale Harold as Jackson or his twin brother!! They need someone really sexy to appeal to the women who watch the show. The current male actors are OK but don’t have Gale’s sex appeal. I watched him on Queer As Folk for years.
