1950s Fetish Pinup Girl, Bettie Page died Thursday night at a Los Angeles hospital, nine days after suffering a heart attack. She was 85. Page had been hospitalized for three weeks beforehand with pneumonia.
Page’s trademark jet-black bangs and fetish costumes were a hit in men’s magazines from 1951 to 1957.
El Hugh Hefner picked her to be Playboy’s Playmate of the Month in Yanuary 1955
Back then this style was joonique. She started a freaky deaky trend! Her image lives on. There are sooo many wannabe Bettie Pages ’til this day!
