Speculations have been circularating that Transformers star Megan Fox will replace Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft.

Insiders are tipping Fox as a “strong candidate” for the role of the sexy action heroine. Angelina and Megan do strike a resemblance. They are both incredibly hot and trashy, although Born-Again Angie is fading into her trashtastic glory. 

Although the casting news around its leading character has been hyped, “Tomb Raider 3″ is yet to have a confirmations with any big names attached to the project. The original “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider” is a film adaptation of the Tomb Raider video game series. The Simon West’s 2001 action movie successfully become the fourth-highest debut of 2001. A sequel, “Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life”, followed in 2003. 

The first installment, released in 2001, grossed $275 million worldwide, while the 2003 sequel earned $157 million. All told, the video game series, which launched in 1996, has accounted for more than $1 billion.

In case Megan backs down for whatever reason, we’ve got another strong candidate: Venetian Princess!

    VP can speak with a British accent … better then Angelina did.  Honestly, Jodie(VP) is a better actor then Ms Jolie, much prettier and would bring more then 300K Plus die-hard youtube fans to the project.
