TIME Managing Editor Rick Stengel said, “The TIME 100 is not a list of the most powerful people in the world. It’s not a list of the smartest people in the world, it’s a list of the most influential people in the world. They’re scientists, they’re thinkers, they’re philosophers, they’re leaders, they’re icons, they’re artists, they’re visionaries. People who are using their ideas, their visions, their actions to transform the world and have an effect on a multitude of people.”

TIME 100 most influential people comprises filmstars,politicians,sportsperson and CEO of big companies.95% of them are unknown to me and in no way influenced our lives.We know of TIMES Heroes in India facing imprisonment for deeds which TIME considered heroic. Manu (Shanker Mishra) a globally known writer and New Agers influenced more peoples lives than the entire list of 100 most influential people of 2009 list of TIME.Should we expect even average intelligence within their editorial board?
Clearly the Most Influential Indian 2009 is a person from Bihar, India called Manu Shanker Mishra.We all know the truth about online voting, false e-mail id’s and SMS voting techniques used.Filmstars, fanclubs, politicians, CEO of Companies use such lists for self advertisement. My own advice to Manu Shanker Mishra is to avoid this and stick with the New Age Movement and alternative lifestyle.His books and his association with New Age has made him the most famous Indian globally.TIME Most Influential Persons 2009 list and final votings on politicians and wannabe’s should not be a part of New Age Agenda.
