Mexico won a sixth CONCACAF title, Campeón de la Copa Oro 2011, today with a 4-2 win over the United States in the championship game at the Rose Bowl stadium.

The United States grabbed a  2-0 lead within 23 minutes thanks to goals from Michael Bradley and Landon Donovan.

But Mexico fought back at the break through strikes from Pablo Barrera and Andres Guardado.

Barrera scored his second goal of Saturday’s game in the 50th minute to break a 2-2 deadlock, and Dos Santos added a goal in the 76th minute for the Mexicans, 2-0 after only 23 minutes.

Dos Santos netted one of the coolest goals of the tournament, dancing around US goalkeeper Tim Howard.

The stadium was packed with 93,000 futbol lovers mostly cheered for Mexico, despite the match being played in the U.S.

The win gave Mexico their sixth Gold Cup title and ensured they will represent the CONCACAF region in the FIFA Confederations Cup in Brazil in 2013.

Que vive El Tri! Ole, Ole!
