Story By Eric Elizondo

On Sunday night everyone tuned in to see the new hit show La Voz…Mexico, which is the international spin-off of The Voice. The show kicked off with all 4 judges, Lucero, Aleks Syntek, Espinoza Paz, and Alejandro Sanz singing “Si No Tu Hubieras Ido” by Marco Antonio Solis.
For the past 2 1/2 hours people tried their best to get the judges to push their buttons. All of the judges seemed to get more than enough people that wanted to be part of their team, but it seemed like nobody wanted to be a part of Espinoza’s team. Here is the outline of the auditionees and their team choices;

27 yr. old Saul Escudero sang “De Mi Enamorate”, Team Lucero
22 yr. old Jenny Perez sang “Ni Tu Ni Nadie”, Team Aleks Syntek
44 yr. old Oscar Cruz sang “Amorcito Corazon”, Team Alejandro Sanz
23 yr. old Alejandra Rojas sang “Con Los Ojos Cerrados”, but sadly no judge turned their chair around
16 yr. old Lucero Antonio sang “Mi Buen Corazon”, Team Lucero
16 yr. old twins Marian & Mariel Santos sang “Espacio Sideral”, Team Aleks Syntek
25 yr. old Carlos Teran sang “Sergio El Bailador” but his voice didn’t coax any judge to turn around
30 yr. old Sergio Garcia sang “Ahora Quien”, Team Alejandro Sanz
30 yr. old Polo Rojas sang “Vuelve A La Escuela”, Team Alejandro Sanz
25 yr. old Vivian Rodriguez sang “El Sol No Regresa”, Team Lucero
18 yr. old Alfredo Hernandez sang “No Se Olvidar”, Team Lucero
45 yr. old Maria De Los Angeles Vega had a great voice and sang “Lo Siento Mi Amor” but no judge turned around
43 yr. old Araceli Alvarez Oropeza sang “Inolvidable”, Team Espinoza Paz
22 yr. old Juan Ramon Acosta sang “Mi Historia Entre Tus Dedos”, Team Aleks Syntek
20 yr. old Andrea Araujo sang “Viveme”, Team Aleks Syntek
25 yr. old Fernando Taimak sang “Abusadora”, Team Lucero
26 yr. old Ramiro Benavides sang “Y Todo Para Que”, Team Espinoza Paz
23 yr. old Lluvia sang “Fuego De Noche, Nieve De Dia”, Team Espinoza Paz
34 yr. old Roberto Carlos Trevino sang “Pero Te Vas A Arrepentir” but to no avail
27 yr. old Daniel Dayz sang “Y Si Fuera Ella”, Team Alejandro Sanz

All the judges had a great chemistry between them and had alot of laughs. They chose great singers to become part of their teams and it will be interesting to see how the judges work outside of their own genre with the new contestants. We can’t wait till next sunday night to watch the 2nd day of auditions.
