Comedian, singer, and celebrity gossip blogger, La Coacha, is known for her witty humor, colorful presence, and hilarious web series. Her name is Spanglish for “life coach to the stars” and her trademark is ‘chisme,’ the Spanish word for “gossip.” And ‘chisme’ is what La Coacha is all about!
La Coacha has had her videos featured on Hollywood’s most hated website, PerezHilton.com and first collaborated with the Queen of all Media in the infamous Youtube video, “The Perez Hilton Sex Tape.”
Coacha has been featured on TMZ (chasing Gerard Butler), E! News (as a finalist for Ryan Seacrest’s Red Carpet Challenge), as well as NBC’s Last Comic Standing and Comedy Central. This Mexican firecracker has also appeared as a gossip commentator on MTV Tr3s and LATV.
La Coacha’s Website has been featured in Star Magazine. Even VH1’s “Best Week Ever” even said they are “hooked” on Chismetime.com.
Coacha’s growing fan base has acquired her a cult following in the thriving internet video phenomenon and refer to her as the “Latina Lucy” and “The Female Wierd Al Yankovich.” Her internet shows include Chisme Time! which can be thought of “Talk Soup with a Latin Twist” and Gaywalking, a popular spoof of Jay Leno’s Jaywalking, which finds her interviewing members of West Hollywood’s and San Franisco’s gay communities about the latest celebrity news.
While her videos are extremely popular, Coacha is best known for her musical parodies, which has her putting a unique twist on hit songs by pop divas ala Whitney Houston, Madonna, Britney Spears, and Mariah Carey.
No stranger to controversy, La Coacha is hated as much as she is loved. Her thick accent, no-holds-barred sense of humor, and wacky videos have angered many, including the paparazzi. But none of that fazes her, because after all, “Is Hollywoood!”
