World's Biggest Enchilada

Yesterday Iztapalapa, Mexico won the honor of The Guinness World Record for the “Biggest Enchilada”. The delicious monster was 70 meters long and weighed almost a ton. The enchilada is able to feed about 3,000 people. So how does one make the biggest enchilada in the world?

75 kgs of Masa of Maiz
273 kgs of onion
3 kgs of garlic
122 kgs of Serrano chiles
80 kgs of tomatoes
193 kgs of green tomatoes
464 kgs of zucchini
93 kgs of corn

As for the ingredients, the “Super Antojito” used, all of them were donated by 40 restaurants. Guinness Record Official Ralph Hannah presented the record.

Mexico City has gone for a number of world records recently, including the largest number of people dancing Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” and most people kissing simultaneously.
