Story by Eric Elizondo

Lady Gaga’s highly anticipated album Born This Way came out today, and the song we’ve been waiting for is “Americano“. Americano was produced and written along with Fernando Garibay, who fused together a driving beat and mariachi music to make one amazing song. In the song Gaga sings about meeting a girl in East Los Angeles, falling in love with her, wanting to get married, denouncing what the law and religion have to say in regard to love, and living on the edge of the law. She also sings multiple lyrics in spanish, and we have to say her accent is pretty good. She also sings “Ay mi papito” in her song “Goverment Hooker“, which was inspired by Marilyn Monroe and other political mistresses.

Check out the song and tell us what you think.
