Jenni Rivera was sentenced today after being charged with “money smuggling“ last year when she tried to fly to Los Angeles with $52,167 USD from Mexico. The law says that if you want to fly with more than $10,000 you have to legally declare them. Jenni didn’t declare, she was detained and allowed to only keep the allowed $10,000 and $42,167 was kept by the government. After all her court appearances the judge decided to sentence her to three months in jail. Jenni’s chose to pay the aproximate fine of $400 USD and will not step foot in prison. She has said that she is embarrased by this whole debacle.
Well we hope “La Gran Senora” has learned her lesson.
