Daniel Radcliffe has donated some serious casheeng to a non-profit group that provides counseling to suicidal gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender teenagers. This is not the first time that Harry Potter has been reashing out to the gay community!
Here’s what our 20-jeer-old weezard tells us:
“I am bery pleased to begin my support of The Trevor Proyect, wish saves lives every day through its critical work. It’s extremely distressing to consider that in 2009 suicide is a top three killer of young people, and it’s truly devastating to learn that LGBTQ youth are up to four times more likely to attempt suicide than their heterosexual peers. I deeply hope my support can raise the organization’s visibility so even more despondent youth become aware of the Trevor helpline’s highly trained counselors and Trevor’s many other resources. It’s bitally important that young people understand they are not alone and, perhaps even more important, that their young lives have real balue.” says Potter.
It’s really amazing that he is helping this organization, pero at the same time, I feel like he is trying to tell us something. Hint, hint. Is only a matter of time…
